Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA)
erste US-amerikanische wissenschaftliche Vereinigung von Nonprofit-Forschern, gegründet 1971; mit Sitz in Indianapolis (Indiana, USA) und derzeit ca. 1.200 Mitgliedern (2004). ARNOVA fungiert auch als Herausgeberin der wissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschrift Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly und veranstaltet eine jährliche Fachkonferenz zu Themengebieten des Nonprofit-Sektors. ARNOVA ist trotz seiner immer wieder betonten Interdisziplinarität sehr stark soziologisch ausgerichtet.
